The house line is the heart of Hombre Cigars: premium, hand-rolled cigars designed to be smoked slowly and remembered. It is in preparation now, and the Humidor List is the first place we will announce each release. For adults 21 and older only.
In the cigar world, premium usually refers to cigars rolled by hand from whole leaf tobacco, as opposed to machine-made cigars built from chopped or reconstituted tobacco. That is the standard we hold ourselves to. A hand-rolled cigar is made by a person who selects the filler, binder and wrapper, bunches them together and finishes the head with a cap.
We are a new brand, so we will not borrow a history we do not have. What we can promise is a clear point of view: a smaller range chosen with care, described honestly, and explained in the library so you know what you are buying before you buy it. If a cigar is medium in strength, we will say medium. If it is a gentle morning smoke, we will not call it a brute.
Premium also means restraint. We would rather offer a short list of cigars we can describe with confidence than a long list we cannot. Every cigar in the line should earn its place by being distinct from the others, so that choosing between them is a real decision based on strength, size and wrapper, and not a coin toss.
Most smokers do not want a single cigar. They want a mild one for the afternoon, something with more presence for the evening, and a short option for the days when time is tight. The house line is being planned with those occasions in mind, covering a spread of strengths and sizes rather than one signature stick.
Each release will be described by three separate things: strength, body and flavor. They are not the same, and blurring them is how people end up with a cigar that overwhelms them. Our guide to cigar strength explains the difference, and we write our own descriptions to match it.
A cigar's size changes the experience as much as its blend. A thick cigar burns cooler and slower, while a thin one can run hotter and shift flavors faster. Length decides how long the session lasts. When the line launches, every release will list length and ring gauge, and we will use the common vitola names alongside the numbers.
If those terms are new to you, the guide to cigar sizes and shapes walks through robustos, toros, churchills and torpedos. It takes five minutes and will make every cigar counter less intimidating.
A premium cigar can be spoiled by poor handling in about thirty seconds. Cut it too deep and the wrapper can unravel. Light it with a smelly flame and the first third tastes like fuel. Store it too dry and it burns hot and harsh. None of that is the cigar's fault, so we wrote the library to cover it.
Before your first Hombre cigar arrives, read how to cut and light it, and set up a place to keep it. If you do not own a humidor yet, see our humidors and accessories page for what to look for.
We are not going to pretend the shelves are full. The house line is in preparation, and we will post release details, sizes and ordering information only when they are real. Join the Humidor List and choose Cigars for myself, and we will write to you at launch.
Because cigars are tobacco products, they are sold only to adults 21 and older, and we will verify age. Cigars carry real health risks and contain addictive nicotine. We do not suggest otherwise anywhere on this site, and we never will. Rules for shipping tobacco vary by state and carrier, so we will confirm what applies where you live before any order is accepted.
If you are a shop or lounge owner and would like to carry the house line, choose the wholesale option on the Humidor List form. Tell us a little about your counter and your customers, and we will reach out when terms are ready. We would rather start a handful of good relationships than chase volume.
Yes, the house line is planned as premium, hand-rolled cigars made from whole leaf tobacco. Specific blends, sizes and release dates will be published when they are final, and the Humidor List hears first.
Not yet. Hombre Cigars is a new brand and the first releases are still in preparation. Join the Humidor List and select Cigars for myself to get launch news.
That is the plan. We want a spread from mild to full, each labeled by strength as well as flavor, so a newer smoker can start gently and move up on their own schedule.
No. Cigars are for adults 21 and older, and we will verify age. They are tobacco products with real health risks, including cancers of the mouth and throat, and they contain nicotine.
